Vehicles in German City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Confirm

Roughly fifty cars have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Automobiles, building surfaces and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Police state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then located many other marked cars and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under regulations banning the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement say preliminary tests indicate the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; authorities are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in relation with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the public for details.

An important official stated the vandalism rendered him without words and required to be solved quickly.

"This incident strikes at the very heart of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he wrote on social media, referring to the killing of nine people by a assailant targeting individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
